Dear future club leader,
Thank you for registering for our Certified STEM club leader program! We are excited to have you on board and look forward to helping you develop the skills and knowledge needed to lead a successful STEM club and to inspire the next generation of Guyana’s leaders.
As part of the program, you will complete an online class covering club culture, leadership, and operations. This class will provide you with a foundational understanding of how to run a successful STEM club and ensure that you are prepared to lead with excellence.
In addition to the online class, we will schedule an in-person robot building and coding class, at the end of which you will be evaluated. This class will provide you with hands-on experience building and coding robots, which is a critical skill for any STEM club leader.
You will also complete a software management class, which will teach you the skills needed to manage the software and technology required to manage your STEM club. This class will ensure that you’re well-equipped to understand and navigate our program software.
Finally, you will be required to complete three months as a volunteer STEM club technology assistant at any STEMGuyana affiliated STEM club or Learning pod. This experience will give you practical, hands-on experience working with kids and leading STEM activities. You will work alongside experienced STEM club leaders and gain insights into what it takes to lead a successful STEM club. Please note, you will receive credit for any of the above components which you have already completed.
Upon completion of all components of the program, you will receive certification as a STEM club leader, which will give you the credentials and confidence needed to start your own STEM club or lead an existing club with excellence.

You will then be assigned to complete the first component of the program–online training with udemy.com.
