Team Guyana Robotics 2022 spent nearly 6 months working together to ideate, research, design, build and test a robot machine which would be able to compete against machines built by youths representing more than 160 countries in the world.

In spite of the rejection of their schengen visas by the Embassy of Netherlands in Suriname, the youths rallied to enter the virtual competition by building a replica competition field on which their robot was expected to intake balls (carbon capture), shoot them into an 8ft receptacle and then pull itself up on one of the bars on the device.

This amazing team of Guyanese youths demonstrated resilience, innovation and an indomitable determination to rise above their circumstance.  These young people are our future.  We are proud of them.  They represented Guyana well.
