STEMGUYANA Wows Guyanese Youth With Robotics Camp
STEMGuyana kicked off their 2018 robots camp with an exciting 5 days of robot building, Scratch coding and drone education. More than 30 Guyanese youth from various communities in Georgetown participated and many parents requested another week of participation.
“Camp coordinators and Master Trainers Stephanie Simon and Aisha Peters made sure the program ran smoothly while club photographer Horace Moseley ensured that precious moments were captured,”, stated STEMGuyana co-founder Karen Abrams. “ I would also like to thank our outstanding robot technology leads Paul Glasgow and Joshua Reece for their outstanding contribution to our program”, Abrams continues. “This Camp has been one of 3 outreach projects conducted by STEMGuyana this summer and I am extremely proud of the commitment of our outreach team in making these programs possible. Our local Director Colin Sawh continues to be a critical leadership voice in making these events happen”, said Abrams. “It really does take a village”
