Central High School Joins The National Robot Building And Scratch Coding League

Georgetown, Guyana – Ten students from Central High School in region 4, today became the seventeenth team to join the National Pilot STEM league.  The pilot program includes teams from 5 regions of Guyana and clubs from as far away as Crabwood Creek, Belladrum and Bartica have joined counterparts in Linden, Georgetown and Lusignan to respond to robot building and Scratch coding challenges under the theme of Climate Change.

The Central High School club was organized and trained by STEMGUYANA Master Trainer Ms Stephanie Simon. The pilot league will end in July 2018 with STEMGUYANA’s 2nd annual Robot Exhibition which will be co-sponsored by The Office Of The First Lady and major corporate sponsor GTT. The winning teams and special prizes recipients, as well as club projects will be on display for attendees to review, demonstrate and learn.
