Georgetown, Guyana; March 5, 2018 –The development of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) in Guyana has been given a big boost through GTT’s commitment of G$18M in the Innov8 Initiative Fund. The announcement was made at the launch of the Innov8 Summit, GTT’s technology Expo to be hosted at the Marriott from March 24-27, the largest event of its kind and the first for Guyana.
GTT’s CEO, Justin Nedd, said that GY $8M of the Innov8 Initiative Fund has been committed to STEM Guyana, who will continue their work in training youth in coding and robotics.
The summit will have two events one, titled Innov8 Expo, will be held from March 24 to 25 followed by an Innov8 Business Forum on March 27. Both events will show the diversity of technology and how it will impact all spheres of life in Guyana; providing the opportunity to display of the innovations and gadgets created by some of the best and brightest players in Guyana’s technology arena. It will also feature international speakers from Google and others.
