Thanks to the commitment and contribution of their amazing teachers MS Odessa Ross and Sir Byran Chintaman for taking the time to make the STEM club activities possible.  STEMGuyana intends to make weekly lesson plans available to Annai students and all STEM clubs in the nationwide program.  Lesson plans will include project and group based learning about Science, Engineering and Technology concepts like Levers, Pulleys, the brain of the robot, how remote control systems work, the history of robots, how robots are powered, IR sensors, the principle of light, the transformation of energy and many other topics related topics.

Students will also learn how to code using Scratch programming and will strengthen their Maths fundamentals skills. “These activities are designed for 21st century learning”, said STEMGuyana co-founder, Karen Abrams.  “Our goals is to build and strengthen the technical skills of all of our club members, while also strengthening their soft skills like collaboration, cooperation, communication, problems solving and critical thinking.”
